What is glass frosting?
Glass frosting is a semi-transparent adhesive film applied to glass to create a soft, diffused finish. It filters light rather than blocking it, so a meeting room, reception or consulting room gains privacy while the space behind it stays bright and open.
Because the film is cut and printed to your specification, frosting is also a branding surface. Logos, patterns, gradients and messaging can be cut into the film or printed onto it, which turns a plain glass partition into part of the fit-out rather than a band stuck across it.
Frosting has a practical job as well. Applied as bands or markers, it makes large panes of glass visible, which helps businesses meet safety and accessibility requirements.

The glass is cleaned before the film goes on, then the film is applied and squeegeed out for a smooth finish with neat, straight edges.

Pricing comes down to the size of the glass, how much of each pane you want frosted, and whether the design is plain, cut or printed. A single strip or band usually starts from around $95, and full coverage or custom cut designs are quoted per job. Contact us for a free quote.

Yes. We can cut your logo, pattern or custom design straight into the film, or print it in full colour, so your frosting becomes a genuine piece of your brand rather than a plain privacy band. Send us your logo files and we'll take it from there.

Standard frosted film diffuses light and view from both sides equally, so it works well for meeting rooms and reception areas where privacy needs to work both ways. If you only want privacy from one side while keeping a clear view from the other, one-way vision film is a better fit, and we can talk you through which option suits your space.
